April: southern babies are born earlier than northern babies. :)

Those indigos have a very unique beak, don't they. The top is narrow, with the bottom nearly 3x as wide. I haven't noticed that characteristic on any other birds. It must be due to their specific diet. Great shots of these "teenagers", Gail!

Lovely details, Gail. I especially like the camouflage colour of the painted bunting, he is my favourite. :)

immature and juvenile? They both sound young or which is younger of the two? Pardon my bird knowledge ignorance. I just know you have fabulous photography skills. :)

Ya, shaving was the wrong thing to do. I should have literally pulled it all out while I could get a hold of it. Major frustration going on over here at my house. However, later in the week I get to attend a free make up class for breast cancer gals and I get to have a boat load of free cosmetics donated from major department stores. Yayayyyay!!!

I am grateful for your prayers! ♥, Renae

Beautiful! I showed my husband your photos since I am always bragging about you to him and the first thing he said was, "Oh wow!" while his mouth hung open in awe :)

Hugs to you!

Thank you for sharing these beautiful babies. (Your photos are better than my Audubon book.)

Plus also you still have your post title mojo -- that is such a cute title ... made me smile (rather shamefacedly, because I could hear my own voice using those words in not such a lovely way!)
