Tricolored Tuesday #1 and a Birthday Blessing

Thanks to TexWisGirl for helping me come up with a way to continue sharing my tricolored heron images. I present to you: Tricolored Tuesday, part one! Click here for the first post in case you missed it.

This post is scheduled to go live at 7:46AM in honor of my daughter's birth minute. She has been a blessing to me from the moment I knew of her existence. Below is a card I purchased for her this summer. Sadly, it got covered with a stack of papers and I never mailed it. So here it is, darling girl.

Sharing with Our World Tuesday. Thank you to the very generous hosts of this meme!

*Card reprinted from Blue Mountain Arts, purchased from Cracker Barrel store in Baton Rouge.

How cool is that?!!! To have the blog post celebrating her birth, the very minute she arrived the day of her birth.

...and Tri coloreds are a favorite of mine. Especially during the breeding season with all their rich, glorious colors. I love the one with the catch of the day in its mouth.

Well, happy birthday to Autumn...a little last-minute tax deduction. :) My birthday was yesterday, so I can empathize with her over having a birthday so close to Christmas.

I love Tri-Colored Tuesday! The first shot is so great, with a perfect reflection. I also love the "catch of the day" shot, the long neck, and the gorgeous wing.

Fabulous shots! Even though we don't have them here, I like Tri-colored Herons even more than the Great Blues. Maybe I'll get to see one someday. Happy Birthday to your daughter and have a Happy New Year!

What a beautiful picture of the purple heron (as he is known to us). Especially the reflection in the water, but also that he is eating a fish :-)
And how nice that you share the celebration of your daughter with us :-)
Soon it was in 2014.
Lots of luck, love and health in 2014.
Greetings, Helma

Great set of pictures (and a very nice card to your daughter!)

How do people get these "herons+fish" images!!! I think most of the herons I watch must be hopeless fisher-birds!

Thanks for all the comments this year.

Cheers and have a good New Year - Stewart M - Melbourne

I love to catch that mirror-look on water.

Loved the texture of the herons plume.
