For the grand finale I present to you cool waves and some of the brave souls who battled them. Photos were taken over a 2 day period in sometimes hazy, sometimes sunny, Dana Point, California.

surfing scares me....i really don't how they do it....and these photos are fantastic.
my hubby carries my stuff, too....he calls himself my camera bitch.....oh well. he never complains :)

I an viewing these on my old laptop and although they look good I know how much better they'd look on my home screen. You captured some wonderful action here, Gail! (My hubby would do the same for me...What great hubbies we have!)

Awesome finale Gail! I lived in San Diego when I was in the 8th and 9th grades. I loved the beaches; the waves were fierce and so much fun!

I never knew that surfers tied themselves to the board. Great shots...I love how you can see the spray of water from the waves. Color of the water is pretty too.
I really like that picture of your husband walking on the beach. So sorry that he got sunburned.

These shot are absolutely great, I can see every drop so clearly that it almost feels like ocean is coming through my screen.

I wish that I was coordinated enough to surf. It looks so liberating and energizing. I love these photos. I may need to use one for Write With Pictures soon :)
