Ruby

The first ruby-throated hummingbirds began arriving a couple weeks ago and we are thrilled to be hosting again. The feeder shown below was purchased at Wild Birds Unlimited. It's got two parts only, the red top lifts right off, so it's a breeze to keep clean. Ruby approves.

Sharing with Our World Tuesday.

We'll need to get out of the below-freezing temps at night in order to hang our feeders. Fabulous captures Gail! xo

These are sensational, Gail. I think #4 is my favorite, but that could change the next time I go through them. :) Beautiful work.

I think I might have to look at a feeder like this...although we are at least 3 weeks away from hummingbird arrivals, I would guess. Terrific hummer photos, Gail!

Nice shots. In my limited experience, they don't often sit pretty for pictures like this.

Glad to know that they are back. Now I need to find a feeder like yours. The ants kept getting into our feeder last year.
And the rats are back eating our bird feed. Yuk! We have been taking them in at night.

Love your shots, especially the last one with the wings in motion!

Beautifully captured. I put mine out every spring, but have never seen one. I only see them during late summer during migration. :(

Gorgeous captures. I spotted a little hummer outside my window today, investigating a stepladder! I'm going to try to get one of those feeders.
