Strike a Pose

Photos taken Jan 3 and Jan 12 around our Capitol. I don't mind seeing these guys when I'm out and about. Just as long as they stay the heck out of my yard.
A cherished gift from the bread lady.

Happiest squirrels don't have the best of everything, but they make the most of everything.

So darn cute! We have one that runs along the top of the fence to tease the pooches; I've named him Bratticus.

There was a red squirrel living in the basement at the cottage when we were there early this month.

We have several that hang out here...they love our pecan trees!! They are pretty fast at grabbing up the fallen pecans.
Pretty sure that he was happy to be stealing the show while you photographed him...Great photography!!
Still cold down your way??

I know they're varmints, but they're still cute. And their antics can be so entertaining. Great shots.

These little devils are too cute for words -- when they're in a neighbor's yard . . . afraid I've let loose with some choice words when I've caught them digging up my tulip bulbs.

I love squirrels. I have about 15 that frequent my yard and feeders. I can feed a couple by hand. My daughter calls me "The Nutty Squirrel Lady". Those are brilliant shots Gail!

They are cute, and indeed are survivors in the urban environment. I greatly enlarged a squirrel eye reflection like the one in your last photo and could see myself holding the camera!(In fact I put the photo in a forthcoming blog post).

I like squirrels but I was just reading about how much damage they do to electric wires. Ornery little rascals!
