These are wonderful. That children's book can't be far off. :)
Pretty funny. Cute catch. I love it when they stretch their beaks like that.
WOW!!! Awesome captures! I don't think I've ever witnessed first hand a pelican doing this; how awesome that you managed to capture these moves! Beautiful images of our State Bird! Big hugs to you sweet Gail! So glad we are blogging buddies, xoxo
Awww, cute. I do yoga exactly like this pelican ;-)
Ok Gail! hi! What is a bird blind? I'm a dork.
But listen to this: You are an AMAZING photographer!!!! Oh, my gosh, girl! Those pelican stretches were almost obscene. Not really, but somewhat hard to view. I'm mature and have seen many things in my life, so, I'll say ok. Ya maybe grotesque is a better term. LOL
Thank you for your nice words regarding the cake mountain. Hungry? LOL
Oh!! This actually made me lift my chin and do a few jaw exercises of my own. I love pelicans and these are wonderful pics.
Wonderful gail! I love capturing photos of wildlife. I love pelicans too!
Who knew?? Great shots and I can't wait to see what you get from inside your bird blind!!

Great series!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
you have exercising pelicans; i have exercising scamper rats. :)
My goodness! That thing is doing yoga! It must have eaten 10,000 calories a day over Christmas like I did. ;)
Those photos are gorgeous! I love the light you've captured in them.
I've never seen a pelican do that so thanks for sharing. That's my kind of yoga, lol!
They appear to be amazingly agile!
Awesome! A lady here is town who shoots birds (did I say that?), uses refrigerator cardboard boxes from Sears. I can see you now, dragging one through the swamp!
Cool captures of the Pelican! Just awesome!
Clear captures. I ❤ pelicans.
Again, some great images caught by my favorite bird nerd. I don't think you need to waste your money on a bird-blind....your images are great without any assistance whatsoever.
Love these Gail! You are too funny! What next?????? Can't wait!
Well, heck. I stretch and such for my pouch; I don't think it's working though unless it's meant to go south.
Is it?
LOL
Very cool Pelican pics Gail! I didn't know they did that! Have a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!
These belong in a bird book! They are such wonderful captures, Gail!
He looks so contented after his workout. (My word is moderation).
Amazing captures. With a blind, you will be unstoppable.:)
LOL! Awesome photos, Gail! I've never seen a pelican do that.
I really like pelicans - I took some pictures a while ago of them drinking by holding their beaks open in the pouring rain - well I assume they were drinking, but it could have been yoga!
Cheers and thinks for linking to WBW.
