Gor-Jus shots. I was thinking the same thing about the gator...then read your comment :)
Excellent pictures, thanks for sharing.
Happy Mother's Day ! ! !
These are all beautiful, but I just love that happy little warbler!
Incredible images, my friend! The pattern is so unique on the alligator's eyelids.
Have a beautiful week, Gail! Hugs!
een prachtige serie, maar was je zo dicht bij die krokodil?
Beautiful pictures, Gail.
Photographed all perfect, my compliments
Best regards, Irma
I like seeing the blooms, birds, and critters in your area. I can almost hear the birdsong.
gorgeous warbler! thanks for pointing out the closed gator eye! cool!!!
Fab shots, love that warbler!
Such beauty all around and you are awesome at capturing these things. Your talents still amaze me
Gorgeous shots of your part of the world.
Your post just says spring all over!
I can nearly hear that bird singing! All such lovely spring pictures. Still I'm surprised that the blackberries are already ripening. They won't be ready until late August or September in Oregon (that's good for us -- since we will actually BE there then.)
Every one of your shots is a gem. So focused and jewel-like.
The look on that Carolina Wren is so very expressive! She looks as if she is saying, "What are you doing here?"
that closed eye lid looks like a monarch's wing….so cool!!!
Fabulous images! The Warbler is a beautiful bird!
Beautiful scenes.
The eye lids of the alligator are fascinating - I didn't know they look like that. They're actually beautiful. I love the little Carolina wren - wrens are such cute birds.
He is a beauty, as are all your lovely snapshots too!
Enjoyed seeing your pictures!
Gorgeous photos! I love the little wren and the alligator is cool. It looks like he's taking a nap. :-)
You've got some fine pics with great DOF. Love that eye.
WoW!!! what an amazing group of images, i just adore the warbler...what a cutie pie!!!
Flowers and gators and warblers.
My kind of day!
You certainly captured the beauty very well!
I am totally jealous over your superb image of the Prothonotary Warbler!
I just can't get used to your gators, Gail, lol! Beautiful shots. I see your Wrens have as much personality as ours do :) That warbler, be still my heart! Hope you had a great Mother's Day, my friend!
Oh yes, those eyelids - great shot! I've been wanting to get some gator shots, just haven't make it to Brazos Bend State Park. If I don't make it soon, I imagine when it gets hot they stay in the water?
Such beautiful flowers and birds. I like the sleeping gator too.
Adorable birds! The gators scared me a little.
What an eclectic group of marvelous finds...I also loved the eyelids of the gator...
Oh, I just love the alligator shots!
Oh, I love that Warbler, Gail. Such a gorgeous bird. The Wren is funny. Great shot. Fantastic series again (the alligator is not really a friend of mine but het pictures are beautiful). Greetings, Joke
I haven't been able to get around to visit 'til now. Sometimes, NO power, other times no cable. Phones have been shut off for emergency only since I can't keep it charges. What a dilemma. LOL
So...Gail, I want to send along my thanks for sharing this wonderful, bright and beautiful post with us at I'd Rather B Birdin' and say hello to you from Hootin' Anni's.
We've been flooded out around here ...yesterday, a virtual lake in our yard...it receded...but again today we were hit with another soaker...on saturated ground.
Hope you at LA are keeping dry.
sorry....charges=charged!
Well Gail, with that big funny black thing stuck to your face, I'm sure you do look suspicious to the Carolina Wren.
Hi Gail,
It's been forever since I wandered through your blog :( Your images are beautiful. I clicked on your Facebook link and I see that today is your birthday! So, Happy Birthday to you! I hope your day has been a beautiful one. Hope you are well.
Take care,
Tina
Hi, Gail. I see you're still maintaining your high photographic standards here. That warbler is so bright it had me looking for my sunglasses. It's kind of hard to find beauty in a 'gator, but you did it.
That Warbler is so bright and cheery. Loved seeing the Gator eyes open and eyes closed.
The bird singing his heart out is so cute. Fabulous shots of the alligator
Let the bird sings and continues singing.
Great beautiful pictures of flowers and birds like the Carolina Wren. The krokdil is quite frightening! Prachgie and pretty clear pictures. Super!
Two belated wishes, Gail...for Mother's Day and your May birthday as well. I have faklen behind on blog reading due to family and moving issues, but looking at your photos is always such a delight. The warbler was so colorful and I wondered if the carolina wren was checking out that gator.
Love the shots of the Prothonotary Warbler, which I don't believe I have ever seen before!
Lovely selection of photos! Those shots of the alligator are great, and the birds are beautiful.
Nice catch, Gail, with the closed-eyed gate. There is a reptile park that the kids and I frequent, and I have noticed that occasionally they will not have eyes opened. I should ask about that.
Glad to see you still posting your fantastic images. Always impressive. I hope your weekend went well.
OMG! Awesome shots! wonderful discoveries for me!
xoxo, Juliana | PJ’ Happies :)
As much as I dislike gators --- that was an awesome shot of his closed eyelids!!
Lovely bird shots!!!
Auch hier grandiose Aufnahmen. Ich bin begeistert!
