In A Fog

Sorry if you came here hoping to see amazing photos of fog (although I managed to find one pitiful offering from my archives). Alas, it's my brain that's filled with fog, and believe me, you wouldn't want to see a picture of that even if I could somehow produce it. Brain fog is the worst!

In other news, our ruby-throated hummingbird is back to entertain us for another season. And the cedar waxwings have not stripped our holly berry trees just yet. The lazy, nest-stealing brown-headed cowbirds have arrived. I have pictures, but I can't get it together enough to post them. I also saw a red-breasted nuthatch in the holly tree yesterday afternoon, but he would not pose for me. Rude!

Well, I'm off to buy some new towels at Macy's. I washed Double D's new black jeans with our gold towels which turned the towels gray. I knew better, too! Darn brain fog. I'm blaming everything that goes wrong on that!
This is a park behind my house on 1/26/13.

Ruby-throated hummingbird resting on a crape myrtle branch on 2/20/13

Not sure if this is the same hummer.
Out of the three feeders located around the yard, he/she loves the one hanging on the palm tree.
This and remaining photos taken 3/10/13

If your brain fog produces that kind of pictures, than it can't be all that bad. Beautiful foggy scene and the Hummer pictures are lovely.

Brain fog can be so confusing!!! Seriously, it is a real pain when our brains temporarily go down. Oh, I just get so mad at myself when I accidentally wash the wrong things together. Makes for a headache.

Oops...if you have two comments from me it's 'cause Blogger is also in a brain fog....I got an error msg, the first attempt to publish my comment.

Anyway, in short, I thanked you for posting the hummingbird images 'cause it reminded me to clean, and hang [just one so far] the HB feeder.

And.......thanks for the input on the Noah Project.

Gail, "brain fog" is definitely part of my world at (too many) times ... and I bet that you and I aren't the only ones! You unfogged enough to find some beautiful hummers; wonderful pictures as always.

Smile, you'll work your way out of the cotton wool!

And you needed new towels anyway didn't you? ;>)!!

Wally Jones said...

Haven't you heard? Gray towels are all the rage! :)

And Hummingbirds are ALWAYS in style, in or out of the fog!

I enjoyed your post!

I love it that your "archived" fog picture is from two months ago. :) It's a beauty, and it doesn't seem to have deteriorated at all over time. Your hummer photos are always a treat, too.

I'm just recovering from a week or so of "the crud," and my brain hasn't felt up to posting anything new on the blog. Soon, I hope.

Dang brain-fog. I suffer from that way too much. Oh well, today is a new sunny day and perhaps it will stay that way all day today. IT'S SPRING HERE, YAY!!

Those hummer photos are AMAZING!!!

Lovely shots of the hummingbird!

Love that little hummer that looks like he's been dipped in melted frost. Our hummers have not yet returned but the waxwings came and stripped us of all our berries in two days. Now they're headed your way. Last year we had a flock of about 20. This year there were probably over a hundred. The day was one of those where the sky was just white and I got zero good pics of them! Our first bluebonnet and Indian paintbrush bloomed today! That means butterflies and clover very soon!

Rambling Woods said...

Oh..I get lost in the fog sometimes too.. hope it clears soon. These are beautiful photos..too soon for the little hummers here but looking forward to them...Michelle

Sweetest hummers! I hope your brain fog dissipates soon. I swear men's clothes has more dye on them. My husbands colors always seems to ruin stuff more often than mine.

I'm feeling a bit in a fog too--too often life's storms just drain you. Love that you've got hummers. I put out sugar water as soon as they hit the coast, but I haven't had even one. I guess my home is only on the southern migration. :(
