Yesterday I got a kick out of Paul Harwell's blog post entitled, "Top 10 Signs You Just Might be a Wildlife Photographer". Boy, could I relate! So I thought I'd try to come up with my own Top 10 for photography addiction.
You know you're a photography addict when:
10. Just the idea of going outside with your camera makes you giddy.
9. Your camera bag is with you more than your purse.
8. You are keenly aware of how light is bathing an object even when not shooting.
7. You spend more time editing photos on your computer than with the family.
6. A gentle breeze is now considered a nuisance.
5. If an outing doesn't involve photography or isn't favorable for photos, you're not interested.
4. You feel naked without your camera.
3. If you go more than a few days without shooting, you dream about it.
2. When watching a sporting event you are more interested in the camera lenses on the sidelines than in the game.
And the #1 reason you know you're a photography addict:
1. You would rather have camera gear than nice clothes or jewelry.

Like you list Gail. I can't remember the last day I haven't taken a photo......but mostly I am quite content with my non DSLR, happy to play with what I have.
Love cloudy days to photograph! No shadows! Love visiting any store that has a camera department! Want to sign up for every photography class! And the list goes on! I love your post!

I haven't met all the "you might be a photography addict" just yet (I think it is due to the fact that I don't have a decent camera) but I made the #1 spot! I told DH that I would rather he buy me a decent camera (versus my little p&s) instead of replacing the lost diamond in my wedding ring!! How wacked is that?!!
I can relate but as a male #9 is definitely out ;)

Oh my gosh... every single one of these applies to me!! But I already knew I was addicted, so I'm not really surprised :)
It looks like a wildlife photographer to me! And I saw snippets of myself in the top 10, though I'm not about wildlife, unless they present themselves to me.
I really, really admire your dedication and totally love your photos. I take my little digital with me but delete more than I save. Something about the camera not seeing what I see *sighs*

I can't say I've ever dreamed about it (yet) but I can totally relate to all of the others. We're click.. I mean sick. I shutter .. I mean shudder at the thought.
