Oh, Happy Day!

My daughter's wedding in Portland, OR was the most beautiful setting for a ceremony I've ever witnessed. Yes, some things went wrong, but there are so many moments we'll be laughing at later. Like the judge who was late because he was stopped for speeding; then his iPad died while he read the script my daughter had so carefully written. However, my daughter--planner extraordinaire--made two hard copies just in case.

Our connecting flight home was missed because Alaska Airlines had a mechanical malfunction in Portland. The first two days home I slept more than I've ever slept in my life. So here are the only two photos I've been able to edit. Hope you enjoy!
Jason and Autumn - 9/5/2015

Trillium Lake near Mt. Hood - 9/6/2015

A HUGE "THANK YOU" to my dear friend, Bridget for watching our precious Izzy and spoiling her rotten while we were gone. This was an image that B made up for Autumn's wedding day, along with a blessing. Sweetest thing I've seen in a long time. I am so happy to have a creative and caring friend like B!

I'll be 'round to make the rounds soon!

Oh it sounds lovely, a beautiful couple.. It would not be a wedding if there were not some hiccups. Great shots. The last one made me laugh out loud:) Hug B

Oh lovely Gail. A beautiful bride and groom, a gorgeous setting and the cutest little "flower girl" ever!

I loved Autumn's hydrangea bouquet. And the photo and formal dress for Izzy! I laughed until I had tears in my eyes. She had such a perfectly placed little tongue which just set the whole scene. And all those ups and downs will help keep those memories strong for a lifetime.

Oh, my, that dress! A beauty draped in beauty and wrapped in the arms of love. Perfection, Gail! Can't wait to see the rest! (what a character Izzy is, lol!)

Gail, I'm sure those are memories to laugh at now though undoubtedly they must have felt quite dramatic at the wedding. I love the loving peacefulnesses of that first photo, they both look so happy...

I am so happy that the day went well. Every wedding needs to have some things go wrong, but to be able to laugh about them is the key. Her dress looks exquisite.

I'm pretty sure you said the wedding was in a Troutdale location.... we were in Portland this past week and weekend and I wish I'd pressed for a trip to Troutdale---instead of driving past it on Sunday. :-) Can't wait to see some more images of the beautiful day!

Beautiful bride and groom...can feel the love! And Izzy's glamour shot it fantastic! What an adorable addition to the wedding album!

Wonder if the speeding judge was ticketed? Maybe a warning. He should know the first rule of electronics since it's a legal term...charge!

Looking forward to more images! BTW, you and Dennis looked pretty gorgeous yourselves!

Hahahahaha .... the judge was late because he was stopped because he was driving too fast * chuckle * and also put his case for it. Sometimes it is and sometimes it is the opposite hahahah ... It is fortunate that there were more great moments where you can look back on long :-)
Beautiful pictures of the couple and the nature underneath :-)

I can only imagine the beauty of that very special day. Such a sweet loving couple now wed for an eternity!! And the scenery...gorgeous.

That little fur baby is adorable too!!!

Glad it went well (with a few things to laugh about -- what would a wedding be without those? -- so far the pictures are beautiful; I'm glad Oregon's sometimes iffy weather cooperated. I'm glad you got there and home OK. And again, your daughter and son-in-law are a lovely couple!!!

I'm glad to read your last post - I've been concerned!!
I totally understand you not blogging!! I have also slowed way down, post mainly for my Mom. I copied and pasted your web page into the blog - not sure if it will let me view it!! I have done Facebook for years and got board with it and tired of all the ads and politics, so no longer do Fb, but I do enjoy Instagram since it's just basically photos!! I saw your Instagram account and asked to follow - not sure if you ever check it!!
You are a talented and wonderful photographer!! You could work for National Geographic or any other major publishing magazine!! A photo DOES speak a thousand words!! Best wishes always Gail to you and your family!!
Most Sincerely, I will miss you - Suzan
