It was a beautiful weekend in the Red Stick! Most of it was spent outdoors, soaking it all in. I hope all of you are seeing signs of spring, and enjoying some milder weather.
Becoming a member of the
Louisiana Photographic Society was one of the best decisions I've made this year. For example, Saturday from 9AM to 12PM, we were offered a free photography session with a well-known and respected photographer from our area,
Aaron Hogan. His classes usually run about $300, so obviously this was a bargan. The response was so huge, they moved it from the library to the Journalism building on the LSU campus. Although a beginner photography class, it was a great refresher, and has me back on manual shooting, moving more of my dials to get what I want from an image.
Afterwards, sweet B and I attended the Spring Garden Show/Chili Cookoff.

I loved this arrangement of hibiscus. The vase isn't too shabby either. :) |
On the way home, Double D called and said he'd just finished brewing BEER(!) with my cousin, and to come over for a cookout. Boy, I was whipped, but I really wanted to see my husband and favorite cousin. Finally got home after 8PM and had no trouble sleeping. Stayed tuned for my Sunday adventure!
I don't have any bird pics for Anni's meme, but I do hope she is on the mend. Blog visits to resume this afternoon to see what y'all have been up to!
