I thought of TexWisGirl while shooting these. My hat's off to her photography on these guys.
They were lined up so wonderfully on three different branches of one particular tree;
I'm certain Tex would have gotten the perfect composition from it.

    Ms. T has really influenced us in blogland with the Whistlers to be sure. Each time I see one in our area, I think of her.

    I alwasy think of Tex when I see pictures of whistlers, too. She has cornered the market. Nice selection of birds and really like the first shot.

    Once again, every picture in the set is beautiful. The one of the sweet grebe and its reflection is perfect. Love Mama Pileated in her nest. Do you think she drilled that opening herself? It looks so precise. The shots of the Snowy are amazingly beautiful. Would love to see them in breeding season.

    oh, gail - if you only knew how many thousands of photos i've taken of these monster whistlers... so many are junked. :) i'm just thrilled you got to see some!

    now, the snowy sure is showy in his ultra-dark accents! very cool! and i am SOOOO jealous of your pied-billed grebe! i just love those tiny guys and gals and they've not wintered here the past few winters (guess the whistlers kept them out this winter, for sure!)

    Oh Gail, I just love these photos. Each one is an absolutel delight. Your Pileated Woodpecker, although she would not get off her nest, is a lovely shot and I have never seen a Pied-Billed Grebe. You have made my day with all these pretty birds :)

    Awh, I'm glad you get inspiration from my posts and who you see there. My blog hop is doing well, I have consistent attendees which I am so loving. Now that my surgery is done, I can focus more on my blog again.
