Great egret |
Great egrets on golf course. They reminded me of lawn ornaments. |
I stalked this poor green heron from one end of the lake to the other. |
I think he was ready to take out a restraining order on me. :/ |
This snowy was causing quite a ruckus. |
Synchronized grooming session. |
I smiled when I red you had stalked the Green Heron, my favourite bird. I do the same thing as I can't seem to take enough photos of them. Really nice photos or warmer days, Gail!
ReplyDeleteSuperb photos. You even gave some of your time to the lowly pigeon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderfully talented funny stalker you are Gail. These are incredible. Hug B
ReplyDeleteyou make me giggle - when you said you were stalking a bird. i wonder how you did that? usually for me i am not quiet enough. even if i am really really quiet. ha. ha!! ( :
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! The sunlight on the synchronized groomers is awesome. And you managed to capture the green heron's crest. That too is awesome, I have yet to be lucky enough to get that feature in a photo!!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of the Heron landing on the log. Great shot!!
ReplyDeleteYou capture the most amazing shots through patients and perseverance. Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful pictures Gail! You have probably heard me say this a thousand times, but seriously your pictures are always so amazing! You need to be on Nat Geo :)
ReplyDeleteI love these. Patience and perseverance really do pay off. That first photo, of the snowy egret taking off, is really wonderful. And the one of the green heron landing on the log made me smile. It looked like he was using every feather he had in that shot. :)
ReplyDeleteYou get the most stunning bird images!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a beautiful spot to visit if you're a bird! I just love green herons; they have so many wonderful expressions and shapes they make, and they have one of the best bird hairdos too!
ReplyDeletethe egrets are stunning! but i LOVE that first green heron shot with his crest raised! AWESOME!!!
ReplyDeleteSo you are the Bird Stalker? Sounds like he title of a movie. Dianne
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful action shots!! Your green heron looks like a king fisher as he was landing!! But defiantly a heron when standing normal.
ReplyDeleteAlways wonderful shots!! Fun shots today!
A very effective series of bird shots including some action, flight and grooming that is somewhat funny.
ReplyDeleteVery good post.
ReplyDeletenice shots
your patience shows
Wonderful shots - love that egret in flight!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind one of those lawn ornaments in my garden :) Fabulous shots Gail, a real treat to see.
ReplyDeleteI love the heron shot - so cool. All the birds are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why your posts haven't been showing up in my feed lately. I saw you comment on someone else's post and came over to say hi. Probably some weird blogger glitch.
These are some beautiful birds you've captured here. I really love the green heron coming in for a landing with his wings flared. I visited your Sunset that you left the URL on and added a link back to the now repaired tutorial on how to leave a link in a comment.
ReplyDeleteI just marvel at the fabulous bird images you record, Gail! And those egrets.....what a beautiful bird!
ReplyDeleteAMAZING pictures.
ReplyDeleteWonderful images - every one- Gail, but that first Green Heron image is one of the best bird images that I've seen for a long while. It's got everything: action, composition, detail, light, drama. It's an absolute Wow!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the shot of the frustrated heron.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous egrets and I love the cool Green heron. Awesome photos!
ReplyDeleteYeah, the Green Heron shots are my favorites!!! Love the first one...that made me laugh! Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteLoved all the images!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a good day on the golf course - even got a couple of -- "birdies". :)
Beautiful shots Gail! Loved them all especially the green heron!
ReplyDeleteWhoa! I love that last photo with their necks in a knot, my gosh!
ReplyDeleteOh, nope that is a square scarf folded in a triangle and with the ends tied in back and looped over me little bean. Not an infinity. I only have one infinity and it is too general and I don't like wearing it much. But I do love wearing scarves especially when they are $1-$2 buckeroos.
Non-thrift-shop scarves are soooooooooo expensive.
I'm glad you played stalker.. that green heron shot is simply stunning.
ReplyDeleteExcellent shots Gail. Love the Heron!
ReplyDeleteWhoa! fantastic shots!
ReplyDeleteYou are a great photographer.
Oh my! I'm first time visiting in here your blog and this is to gorgeus! Unbelievable beautiful pictures, I love them! Started to following this ♥
ReplyDeleteI love all nature's beauty from the bottom of my heart. It makes me speechles.
What a nice set of photos. Gotta love that last grooming one.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures -- the egrets in that first shot of them do look like statues~ Green herons always look slightly demented to me..something about those eyes. You are a good stalker! Thanks for sharing all.
ReplyDeleteEspecially the herons I love. The egret but the purple heron and the cattle egret. Beautiful to see!
