Or several. :)
Trying to put the plumbing nightmare behind me and get ready for our fun weekend. Starting today we have a full schedule with two days in Vacherie, LA with family, and one day in St. Francisville with a sweet friend.
I'm hoping that next week will settle down so I can get back into the blogging routine. A few days ago I was depressed and lonely, and now my cup runneth over. Feast or famine! That's the way my life seems to unravel.
If any of you are prayer warriors, please say one for my daughter and her fiancee who are both flying to London today for a wedding. With all the planes gone missing or bombed lately, this mama is a tad nervous.
Enjoy the weekend and I'll catch back up with you on Monday!
oh my goodness - on both thoughts - the blooms & your plumbing issues. sorry to hear that things are so not cool. i hope you will have a more restful upcoming week. that is poohy (in more ways than one, wink, wink, ha. ha!!!) keep a smile & know things will get better soon. big big hugs. ( :
ReplyDeleteSorry about the messy plumbing problems, but apparently you are able to take heart ... so to speak. :)
ReplyDeleteYour daughter and her fiancee are in my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI hate plumbing woes! Let's hope the weekend brings you lots of laughter to make up for it. =)
They will be fine but I will keep good thoughts don't worry. Plumbing oh yeah never nice and trees oh yeah not always nice:) Beautiful pics have a nice weekend. Hug B

ReplyDeleteGlad to see that you didn't lose heart over the plumbing issues. We've been having a few of them around here too.. but more in the way of leaks.
ReplyDeleteI understand your worry.. your baby will be fine. :)
i hope all travels will go well! yours included. hope the plumbing is fixed and the roots dealt with!
ReplyDeleteI hope the plumbing problems are solved.
ReplyDeleteSafe travel for your daughter,i hope so.
My son was left Thursday for holidays , fortunately arrived safely, but there follows a return trip.
The first picture is my favorite.
Tree roots can wreck a house.
ReplyDeleteLove the hearts you found.
ReplyDeleteHappy and safe journey.
ReplyDeleteNever apologize for being sensitive or emotional, it's a sign of strength. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove your photos! Thumbs down to plumbing problems. I can understand your nervousness about your daughter flying, but when I think about it, I just have to keep reminding myself it's still the safest way to travel.
ReplyDeleteThe same thing happened with our plumbing several years ago...tree roots. It was aggravating, expensive and darn sure smelly! Love the photos <3. Have a fun weekend!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I did some research on Lake Martin/Cypress Island Preserve. I'm going to plan a trip there during October. In your experience, is that a good time to visit?
ReplyDeleteDe eerste is wel midden in de roos geweldig en wat groeit alles toch heel hard op dit moment.
ReplyDeleteLifting you in prayer concerning the plumbing problem, how stressful that can be. We too have some issues so I know the feeling to some point.
ReplyDeletePrayers for your daughter and fiancee for safe travels.
Prayers that you can put all worries out of your mind and let GOD handle things and you enjoy your trip with friends.
GOD bless and keep you safe.
Ow wow! I'm so sorry for your plumbing problems and will send my prayers for your daughter and her fiance on their travels. My son and daughter-in-law have also been flying so I can understand your anxiety. Thank you for these awesome photos Gail, and sending a big hug in the hopes that things will settle down for you. Enjoy your time with your family and friend. You deserve a nice break :)
ReplyDeleteSending good thoughts for safe travels for your family...I can imagine your trepidation....I have been seeing hearts in the garden too! We need a bit more love to spread around these days.
ReplyDeleteSaying a prayer right now for safe travel for your daughter!
ReplyDeleteEEGADS - I know where you're coming from about the plumbing issue; the very same thing happened to us many years ago, and it's awful. :(
I love the HEARTS! And, I hope you guys have an awesome time this weekend. :)
Beautiful heart photos! And I know how you feel. I have a daughter who will soon be flying to Austria alone. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteNice series. When my daughter was in elementary school her teacher had a poster full of heart photos like this captioned "Love is where you find it..."
ReplyDeletewhat a bummer about the plumbing, i HATE when anything goes wrong around the house, such a pain and such a mess!! and i really dislike repair men....i think they are often rude and messy and inconsiderate.
ReplyDeletei do however, love your hearts....and the puple is perfection!!!
have an awesome weekend!!
Sorry about the plumbing problem.. Your hearts are all so pretty, lovely images. Wishing your daughter a safe and happy trip!
ReplyDeleteWe had the same thing happen to us once...roots in old cast iron pipe! Just a few years ago, the kitchen sink drain plugged in the middle of dinner prep; DH spent a good portion of the day under the house in the cold. :-) (Is the flying daughter the one who lives in Portland?)
ReplyDeleteGreat heart finds! Nice photos! Sorry to hear about the plumbing. That's never pleasant.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.I do pray that your family will be fine in their travels.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about both the plumbing and air travel! We had a plumbing breakdown during a Christmas family do a few years ago - tree roots!
ReplyDeleteAnd I have been in and out of planes a bit recently!
I've been in the UK for a month and I decided to let the blogging take a back seat, hence the much delayed reply - normal service will resume very soon.
Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
So beautiful! The macro is amazing!
ReplyDeletePlumbing problems are stressful! Prayers for your daughter and her fiancee. I hope you are able to relax and enjoy your getaway.
ReplyDeleteOh my, plumbing issues are the worst! Been praying for your loved ones. Flying is not going to be on my "to do" list anytime soon with all that is going on right now. Sounds like you have some fun times planned! Can't wait for you to share. Loved the bokeh in that last shot! Nicely done, Gail!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are having a stressful time with one thing and another. I hope things get back to normal very soon, and I send good vibes to you and your loved ones. Love the heat pictures!:)
ReplyDeletePlumbing woes are no stranger to us as well, Gail, we had a similar problem a couple of years ago. Sending good thoughts for the safety of your famiky when traveling. The hearts were very uplifting and a creative idea.
ReplyDeleteOh dear. I don't even want to think about it. I hope you won't have any more problems. I have enjoyed your last few posts even though I haven't been saying so. I've been visiting, but not spending too much time. Elderly mother fell and, of course, husband's ongoing treatments.
ReplyDeleteI love all the beautiful hearts you found! How delightful.
ReplyDeleteI hope it is some comfort for you that flying is still the safest way to travel. I always worry when loved ones are taking a plane, but honestly much more can happen if a teenager drives to school (says the mother of a teenager).
The first heart really leaps out at us.
ReplyDeleteOh yikes with the plumbing. It is amazing )in a bad way) sometimes how strong those persistent tree roots are.
I am late praying for your daughter and her fiancé, but I hope they are enjoying the time across the pond.
Way back in the day when we first moved to Dallas we lived in an apartment. On more than one occasion, when the upstairs neighbor flushed, it came down into our bathtub. Needless to say, house hunting became a priority.
ReplyDeleteThank the good Lord for protecting your daughter and her fiance on their travels! I'm so sorry for your plumbing problems! Awful! Glad this week is over and things are looking up!
ReplyDeleteShe'll have a lovely time in London!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots.
Growing up in Houston, I'm well aware of the problems of roots interfering with the sewage system! My sympathies!!

ReplyDeleteIt is understandable that you're nervous when you travel, when suddenly a lot of air disasters. Daughter by plane
Your photos I find great and especially the scroll hearts in the 2nd picture is great to see.
Beautiful!
