The Day I Fell In Love

We do not owe the tax man!! There's still the regular quarterly payment, but at least we don't have to send anything else. Hallelujah and whoop dee doo! These statements have nothing to do with this post. Just wanted to have a mini-celebration since it's such an anomaly.

These are photos from our March 22nd field trip with our birding class, also known as, "the day Gail fell in love with kayaking." No boating images; only nesting egrets doing their thing. Hope you enjoy!

  10. I used to see Egrets regularly when I lived in California, but they never had such fancy plumage as the ones you photograph. You capture them beautifully!

  20. All I can say is, if I was a female egret, these male displays would make my heart go pittypat. Your photos are wonderful. I think the third one is my favorite, but that could change on my next scroll-through. :)

  28. Splendid photos of the egrets with their nuptial plumes! I lived in New Orleans for 5 years but it was work, work, work and no chance to paddle in the bayous. Did like the food!
