In other news, our ruby-throated hummingbird is back to entertain us for another season. And the cedar waxwings have not stripped our holly berry trees just yet. The lazy, nest-stealing brown-headed cowbirds have arrived. I have pictures, but I can't get it together enough to post them. I also saw a red-breasted nuthatch in the holly tree yesterday afternoon, but he would not pose for me. Rude!
Well, I'm off to buy some new towels at Macy's. I washed Double D's new black jeans with our gold towels which turned the towels gray. I knew better, too! Darn brain fog. I'm blaming everything that goes wrong on that!

Not sure if this is the same hummer. Out of the three feeders located around the yard, he/she loves the one hanging on the palm tree. This and remaining photos taken 3/10/13 |
Thank you very much to the hosts of
You said no birds....these are beautiful birds...That little humming bird is so precious and pretty....

ReplyDeleteOh I cannot believe you said that these are incredible fog photos. I like your fog brain. Too bad about the towels:) B
ReplyDeleteIf your brain fog produces that kind of pictures, than it can't be all that bad. Beautiful foggy scene and the Hummer pictures are lovely.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful humming bird shots! Have fun shopping for those towels!
ReplyDeletelaughing at the laundry - you poor thing! :)
ReplyDeleteBrain fog can be so confusing!!! Seriously, it is a real pain when our brains temporarily go down. Oh, I just get so mad at myself when I accidentally wash the wrong things together. Makes for a headache.
ReplyDeleteThese are all beautiful. Love the fog and the humming birds are super. I especially like the one on the Crape Myrtle branch.
ReplyDeleteI love foggy scenes! Very pretty shots of your sweet hummingbird, Gail!

ReplyDeleteOops...if you have two comments from me it's 'cause Blogger is also in a brain fog....I got an error msg, the first attempt to publish my comment.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, in short, I thanked you for posting the hummingbird images 'cause it reminded me to clean, and hang [just one so far] the HB feeder.
And.......thanks for the input on the Noah Project.
Gail, "brain fog" is definitely part of my world at (too many) times ... and I bet that you and I aren't the only ones! You unfogged enough to find some beautiful hummers; wonderful pictures as always.
ReplyDeleteSmile, you'll work your way out of the cotton wool!
And you needed new towels anyway didn't you? ;>)!!
ReplyDeleteHaven't you heard? Gray towels are all the rage! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd Hummingbirds are ALWAYS in style, in or out of the fog!
I enjoyed your post!

ReplyDeleteWe all suffer from brain fog from time to time - and living in the San Francisco area, I get real fog a lot as well.

ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic photos ~ Wow!
ReplyDeleteWe all have 'foggy brain days' ~ enjoy ^_^
I love it that your "archived" fog picture is from two months ago. :) It's a beauty, and it doesn't seem to have deteriorated at all over time. Your hummer photos are always a treat, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm just recovering from a week or so of "the crud," and my brain hasn't felt up to posting anything new on the blog. Soon, I hope.
Beautiful series!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteHa! I just wrote a post on "Blog fog" or actually i call it Blog Block.
ReplyDeleteLove your birds. Is it too early to put out hummingbird feeders?
I know all to well about brain fog. You are to funny.. Love your photos this morning. You know I am all about humming birds. LOVE THEM...
ReplyDeleteHugs~
Dang brain-fog. I suffer from that way too much. Oh well, today is a new sunny day and perhaps it will stay that way all day today. IT'S SPRING HERE, YAY!!
ReplyDeleteThose hummer photos are AMAZING!!!
Lovely shots of the hummingbird!
ReplyDeleteLove that little hummer that looks like he's been dipped in melted frost. Our hummers have not yet returned but the waxwings came and stripped us of all our berries in two days. Now they're headed your way. Last year we had a flock of about 20. This year there were probably over a hundred. The day was one of those where the sky was just white and I got zero good pics of them! Our first bluebonnet and Indian paintbrush bloomed today! That means butterflies and clover very soon!
ReplyDeleteOh..I get lost in the fog sometimes too.. hope it clears soon. These are beautiful photos..too soon for the little hummers here but looking forward to them...Michelle
ReplyDeleteBrain fog...been there, done that, no fun. Ahhh, I see your little hummer has returned for another summer of great shots. Hope your fog clears soon!! No fun being foggy!!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing your hummers, Gail!
ReplyDeleteSweetest hummers! I hope your brain fog dissipates soon. I swear men's clothes has more dye on them. My husbands colors always seems to ruin stuff more often than mine.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of that hummingbird! sandie
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of that hummingbird! sandie
ReplyDeleteStunning, lovely, charming little Hummingbirds and your images are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling a bit in a fog too--too often life's storms just drain you. Love that you've got hummers. I put out sugar water as soon as they hit the coast, but I haven't had even one. I guess my home is only on the southern migration. :(
ReplyDeleteWow how amazing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful world.
Have a great week.
Regina
