We had one full day to spend with my youngest son, Michael, and we were determined to make the most of it. A little planning and dodging the rain here and there, and it all worked out. Michael was excited to kayak and said it was really cool. He's going to come back soon so we can go again. :)
All kayaking shots were taken with either Double D's or my iphone. Next time I'm taking the big camera in the kayak with me. We saw FOUR pileated woodpeckers so close you could almost reach out and touch them. The coolest thing ever!

Oh he will be back I am positive of that, what great fun for him and both of you, he will be talking about this for ever. Your photos are amazing but a bit scary for this girl on a farm only worried about coyotes and bears, and frankly their teeth are not as big:):) Hug B:)

OMG!!! You REALLY are one brave lady; alligators croaking. I'd love to be with you "in the big boat" p;) It must be wonderful to be that close to the woodpeckers; they might not to be easily scared in these environment♡♡♡

ReplyDeleteWonderful thing to do together with your handsome son. He'll definitely be back for more. I remember that duckweed when we took a bayou tour onetime. It's almost like there are roads through it! I miss seeing alligators in the wetlands where I am now;)).

Okay it all sounded like so much fun until you mentioned the "Gators" - But wow you got some awesome shots of them. That last one was amazing.
