Camassia Natural Area

Camassia Natural Area was on our agenda for a wildflower hike on the third morning of my Portland adventure. Unfortunately, the wildflower peak had come and gone, yet I managed to find a few gems out there. If anyone can help with identification, I'd be grateful.

Coast Lotus or Witch's Teeth




Shot on ISO 6400. The only reason I can tolerate the 5D Mark II.

    I have absolutely NO IDEA when it comes to wildflowers except for daisies and sunflowers. LOL

    Oh Oh, bad hike. Dang. When hikes go bad and have a strong memory of me struggling down a slope that I thought I was going to die on. No more bad hikes, ok?

    The lavender colors in this photos are fabulous. They take my breath away ~~~~~ awh ~~~~~~~~

    Just look at all those beautiful flowers. I can't wait till to get to Oregon. But on this trip we won't be headed up to Portland. We are going to Valley of the Rogue state park. Can't wait to escape this heat..

    Oh my! Each day you were there it seems there was so much to take in and you continue to capture it all so well. These are all little lovely delights!

    The only one I can name with any confidence is the snail - and that's really not the helpful!

    How did I miss this post??!! I enjoyed all the beautiful flowers, although I'm worthless when it comes to identifying them. But my favorites are the one of the snail and the one of that bulbous-looking plant.
