My Word!

The trend of adopting a word for the year finally has my undivided attention. I pondered several words to see how they fit, and finally settled on PEACE.

My favorite prayer and saint. The rest of the prayer can be found here.
Peace eluded me for most of 2012, and my heart's greatest desire is to experience it despite circumstances swirling around me. I'm currently reading a devotional book called Moments of Peace in the Presence of God which further solidified my decision to choose Peace as my word for 2013. Mother Teresa said, "Peace begins with a smile." I think I'll start there.

Finally, I want to thank all of you who have supported me the last couple of years, offering encouragement, humor, prayers, advice, friendship, and much more. I'm grateful for your posts and photos which inspired, enlightened, consoled, and tickled my funny bone.

What a wonderful community we have created together! Here's to a marvelous new beginning for each of us. I heart you all!!!!

  11. Gail! Awh, that is a nice word to select. If I had a word it would be 'Happiness'. My blog has really brought happiness to me and I would want that to continue for others, too.

It has been so wonderful knowing you and I'm looking forward to more times in 2013 and beyond. "To infinity and beyond" hahahaha

  13. That's a beautiful prayer, and you've chosen a beautiful word from it. May peace reign in your heart, even when turmoil surrounds you, as it inevitably does all of us at times.

Jesus said: "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27)

  20. Peace is a wonderful word for 2013! It is most difficult to pin it down to just one word...peace was on my list as well, but then as you know, I went with Simply or simplify...basically, less chaos if I have any control over it. Big hugs sweets, xoxo

  21. I am sorry things have been difficult for you.. I too yearn for peace in 2013, as 2012 was the loss of my Mother and my cancer diagnosis. I will be there with you looking for it.. This is a beautifully thoughtful post.. Michelle
