Today I moved a bird feeder that was in a remote corner of the yard and placed it next to the established popular hangout to see what would happen. It was as though a new nightclub opened and there was no bouncer to control the influx of partiers that wanted in.

Stop shaking the dance floor guys! I'm gonna fall off!!! |
|
There, that's better. Boys on one side and girls on the other. |
|
What the??????? INCOMING!! |
|
Stick with me Stella, I'll protect you. |
|
Look at this rogue sparrow, would ya? Who let him in? The nerve. Nobody talk to him. |
|
AND STAY OUT! |
|
Stop flappin' your wings and get a grip, woman! |
|
That new hangout is sinful. As the resident cardinal I'll pray for their gluttonous ways. |
|
While those idiots are jockeying for position at the new club, I'm gonna grab all the juicy morsels from the old place. |
|
I'M OLD ENOUGH TO GET IN!! I SWEAR!!! |
Gail this is adorable. Great photos and clever captions. Thanks for the smiles.

That's excellent, Gail. Love your commentary. Excellent shots. I have to keep my feeder outside the yard lest the cats and dogs find the bird feeder feeding them. :P

ReplyDeleteGail,
ReplyDeletethanks for making me laugh today! I needed that. I think you are in the wrong field as far as your new job goes. You need to be writing comedy.

Your photos had me smiling this morning.. I just loved them. I have lots of birds at my feeder but it is so hard to get a shot of them. The minute I touch my sliding glass door the fly away. Even if I don't open it. Crazy birds. I guess there just shy..
ReplyDeleteHOpe you are having a great week..
Hugs~
Lol! Your captions are so cute! xoxo

We used to have doves trying to land on our bird feeder too. they were never too successful and the seed would fly everywhere.
I enjoyed my visit today, as much as the hungry little peeps. Excellent pictures, beautiful birds.
ReplyDeleteI pray life changes up, in a good way, for you retire.
Wow wow wow! Fabulous shots!

Photos and narrative were delightful, what sort of birds are the little red chested ones Gail? Also do you mind if I copy your comment above, it says it all so succinctly. :)
ReplyDeleteSo much drama!! Great shots :-)
ReplyDeleteHa! What a wonderful series. The photos are stand-alone beautiful, but your captions are the icing on the cake. The cardinal photo and caption steal the show!
